You already know that you can get quick local search results from your phone with Google SMS for the price of a text message, but the service is a helluva lot more usable now that you can set your default location. Just send a text to Google SMS (466453) with set location [city, zip code, address]. Now when you want to perform weather, movies, or restaurant look-ups via Google SMS, you can just text, for example, weather rather than weather 90210. Much more convenient!

New Winamp Streams to XB360, PS3 and Wii....

This past weekend, we met up with Matthew Callaway, product director for Winamp, as he showed us the new Winamp Remote.
The product is relatively simple; users store their music files on a PC with Winamp running. Then they enable the application for remote access. After setting that up, users fire up the Wii or PlayStation 3 web browser and head to http://winamp.com/remote to sign in. As long as the host PC is on, has Winamp running and connected to the Internet, the user can allow a friend to stream music and video from that machine too. If the user was on the road, at a party, over a friend's or trapped in a coffee house with bad music, they can access their tunes remotely from anywhere with an Internet connection.

The software also further expands on the Winamp steaming media concept with a similar interface for cell phones with web browsers and the Xbox 360. Sadly, without a browser, the Xbox 360 can only stream media from a local PC and not from another location. Should Microsoft fix the problem, you should be able to use Winamp Remote there too.

Believe everthing you see? Good, then this is an unannounced Nokia N94i running the Windows Mobile (not Symbian) operating system. We have no way of knowing for sure, but that looks like an ~~engineering prototype~~ Chinese knockoff of something which has gone up for auction somewhere on this great blue planet. According to the listed specs, we're looking at a touchscreen (with stylus) multimedia device synonymous with the N-Series packing a 2 megapixel camera, speakerphone, Bluetooth 2.0 and MicroSD expansion. It's also listed as a dual-sim device with quad-band GSM support. Of course, Microsoft has been slowly making in-roads into Nokia handsets for several months with Nokia's purchase of Intellisync and the recent announcement to integrate Windows Live services into some Nokia handsets. Still, WinMo on Nokia... are we dreaming, or is that "WinXP.jpg" an indicator of something more foolish?

HTC Juno Coming To T-Mobile in October

Remember the HTC Juno? It is most certainly going to T-Mobile USA. While Juno is the codename, we haven’t got word of the official launch name yet. It’s a Windows Mobile based device and has a "consumer friendly interface, most likely HTC’s TouchFlo," says our source. He also goes on to tell us that it will have a QWERTY keyboard, but from the looks of things, is that SureType? T-Mobz should be positioning this phone as an "adult Sidekick" and the phone has a "wow screen and interface." It is currently a T-Mobile USA exclusive and set for a mid to late October release.

Just when you thought they couldn’t get any cheaper….T-Mobile is set to completely revamp their data plan lineup with a new pricing scheme that is sure to make subscribers swoon. Beginning tomorrow, September 12th, the big Pink will be dropping updates to their BlackBerry and Total Internet plan offerings. The Total Internet add-on, which includes unlimited web browsing and data service for devices such Wing and Dash, will drop from $29.99 to $19.99. Sweet! The BIS add-on will remain at $19.99 for customers in need of the full BlackBerry email/web browsing experience. For anyone simply looking for an email solution, however, things are about to get very interesting. T-Mobile is launching a new BlackBerry add-on plan that will give customers access to any BIS-accessible email accounts for $9.99 a month. All web browsing and secondary data access will be blocked, but for a 10-spot, it’s hard to argue with the lack of frills. Not bad at all. The bad news (you knew there had to be something) is that the standalone BIS option, as well as the standalone Total Internet Plan, will go up to $39.99 from $29.99. Curiously, this makes the BIS and BES standalone packages identical in price. We’re not sure if T-Mobile HotSpot Wi-Fi access will still be part of the Total Internet package, but we’ve seen nothing to indicate that it won’t still available to subscribers. These new plans will be available via retail channels tomorrow and on T-Mobile.com by the 16th of September. All you FlexPay customers can expect to see changes by the 16th.

One of the few hundred thousand that dropped 600 bones for an 8GB iPhone instead of the moderately more palatable $399? It's alright, Nokia still hearts you, and they want to prove it. Espoo wasted no time after yesterday's announcement in taking out Google ads encouraging disheartened, empty-walleted iPhone owners to check out its new MOSH service -- a collaborative mobile media site run by the phone giant -- to "salvage" their devices. With all due respect, Nokia, no amount of free content is going to put $200 back into our pockets, but we appreciate the thought nonetheless.

The little girls who run around the game world collecting the mind- and body-altering ADAM give you a bonus either way: if you harvest them by killing the little girls, you get 160 ADAM. If you save them, you get 80 ADAM. However, the question is made more difficult by the fact that the more sisters you save, the more you're rewarded with ADAM and items by another character in the game. So which way gets you more ADAM?
